I enjoyed learning about native bees as one of my challenges and signed the Xerces Society "Pollinator Protection Pledge". Going to Derby Canyon Natives nursery today to pick out some plants the pollinators might enjoy!

Thanks for sharing that info today Chelsea--I hope I can get plants next year that the pollinators might enjoy.  Bees are so very interesting and curious creatures!

I can't believe I went 7 days without refined sugar! Trying to eat two meals a day without processed foods has also been good for me, and has really opened up my eyes as to how many products I still have in my house that are not whole foods.

Today my mom and I volunteered with Cascadia Conservation. We pulled weeds at the base of Saddlerock in order to save the native plants that were planted last fall. It was a lovely morning!

I've enjoyed getting outside for a walk the past two days on my lunch break instead of spending the whole hour in the windowless staff room.

I made a cake today and didn't have a piece. This was a big accomplishment for me!  I also made sure to get out the real plates and forks for my co-workers, and did not provide paper napkins, thus avoiding disposables.

I'm having fun picking out my challenges! The hardest one for me so far will be avoiding refined sugar. This challenge will provide good motivation though!
