Thank you, Power Hitters, for your tremendous effort! Please keep up the good work.

My hardest challenge was waiting for a full load before washing clothes. You can save on water by setting the machine for mini loads but I'm guessing the energy used is about the same. Sounds simple, but I tend to wear certain items over and over again and don't want to wait for a big batch. Also, I think some of the challenges required guesswork. For example, is mayonnaise a processed food? I pledged to avoid processed food but may have fudged on that one.

Extended my time outdoors to an hour this morning, hiking Castlerock. No snakes yet -- and I didn't see any people, either.

We will be hiking the Prince Creek trail on the north shore of Lake Chelan in a week which is known for rattlers and I am absolutely petrified. Wish they had an EcoChallenge Action called "Courage."

Nice job and great photo!  I've seen snakes in Sage Hills and on the Loop Trail already this year.  Perhaps they aren't as lively first thing in the am.

I am walking for 30 minutes every morning before work. A great start to the day.

We explored the Entiat Park trail this weekend. I had been wanting to do this for a long time so took advantage of the nice weather. Hiked from the parking lot in both directions -- up the Entiat River and down the Columbia. Beautiful trail and park -- thank you, Chelan PUD!

Went through my closet last night. Filled two reusable bags with clothing I no longer wear to donate to my favorite thrift store.

There's a great story on the Sustainable Wenatchee website about the efforts of an East Wenatchee business, Lisa Bee's, to recycle, compost, and get rid of plastics. It costs more to operate that way but they are doing it anyway because of their commitment to the environment. https://www.sustainablewenatchee.org/blog
