Lori Nitchals 5/19/2019 5:29 AMWhat a two weeks this has been! I have changed habits and learned so much more about how I can reduce my carbon footprint. I have found a community of like minded folks who care as much about the environment as I do. What a blessing! -

Lori Nitchals 5/18/2019 6:07 AMLooking forward to going to Farmers Market and then going for a walk on the Loop Trail with Mija. Then getting things put together to drop off at CUUF tomorrow for the upcoming yard sale. Then picking some salad greens, herbs, and edible flowers for my salad, to eat with Anjou bread and local cheese. 😋 Rounding out the day by puttering about in my gardens, enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells of nature! Pure bliss! -
Lori Nitchals 5/17/2019 8:14 AMGreat fun at Green Drinks in Leavenworth last night learning about what Link offers and hanging out with like minded folks, including six of our team members!
Love creating new eco friendly habits, especially how to reduce my disposable plastic waste.

Lori Nitchals 5/15/2019 8:55 AMSince Unincorporated Chelan County is no longer recycling glass, I decided it was time to try out wine in a can!
Each can equals 1/2 bottle of wine. Not only are the cans recyclable, I read it saves on fossil fuels because they are lighter weight to transport than glass is.
Looking forward to taste testing these wines over the next few weeks! I chose cans over the boxed wine because the wine is in a plastic bag inside the box.
Having a blast investigating new ways to reduce my carbon footprint!-
Stefanie Neff 5/17/2019 8:35 PMOh I'm going to have to look into this! So bummed that I can't recycle glass anymore, but happy there are options available!

Lori Nitchals 5/14/2019 7:01 AMAttended the Climate Conversations meeting last night. As always, it was very informative! -
Lori Nitchals 5/13/2019 8:52 AMPlan to contact Costco, Fred Meyer, and Safeway home offices to ask about what they are doing to reduce use of disposable plastic packaging on their products. -
Lori Nitchals 5/12/2019 7:02 AMReally enjoying challenging myself to create new eco friendly habits. Tieton Farms at Farmers Market has yummy cheeses which I sampled and purchased. 😋 Salad greens, spinach, and asparagus rounded out my purchases!
Mija loves the market as much as I do, getting loved on by folks she assumes showed up just to meet her!
Then we took a walk on the Riverfront Trail. Spent the rest of the day in my gardens, puttering about, eating my meals while watching the goldfish in the pond...bliss!
